Tess and her husband, Yves, were drawn to this property by their childhood experiences, turning it into a haven for their three children: Lotte, Jemima, and Wilbur. Affectionately dubbed the "Magic Beach House," this renovation reflects their vision of elevated living—where functionality meets aesthetic appeal.
The Allure of Calcario Stone
Calcario wall cladding, designed by Artisan Exterior, draws inspiration from the sandstone buildings of Pyrmont and Sydney CBD. The ‘Magic Beach House’ highlights the versatility of this stone, cleverly utilised in this space to create a relaxed coastal aesthetic. This linear stone cladding features a range of surface finishes and traditional stoneworking techniques, available in 300mm and 400mm course heights. Crafted from highly durable limestone, Calcario emanates a gentle warmth, with subtle colour variations and unique textures that enhance its charm.
Its random lengths, extending up to 700mm, create a beautifully textural and timeless wall cladding that serves as a stunning backdrop for the Magic Beach House's interior and exterior spaces. This design element not only elevates the home's aesthetics but also reflects the family's commitment to creating a space that fosters connection and comfort.
