In 2010 'Artisan Stone' was registered as a company with the focus of providing high quality stone pavers, tiles and wall cladding to the pool and landscape industry in NSW and ACT.
Over the next few years, the company continued to expand and welcomed new members to the team in a variety of roles across warehousing, sales and admin. In 2013 Artisan Stone became the exclusive distributor for Hisbalit Mosaico pool tiles, followed by the introduction of the Rocersa Outdoor 20mm porcelain paver range in 2014 and the Eterno Ivica pedestal installation system the following year.
By 2017 Craig had identified an opportunity to introduce new formats and product types to the industry and was traveling extensively to develop further the Artisan Stone range. This new focus included working on the addition of a décor range as the company had effectively established itself as a reliable and quality focussed supplier, but still required more variety to fully service their clients. The brothers also began working on designing their first grand flagship showroom in the ACT with Chris being the project manager, scouting for locations and organising site requirements.
In 2018 Craig, whilst managing marketing and daily functions of the business, also began developing a concept for the future of Artisan Stone that would see the company shift toward servicing its clients in a more holistic manner. In September of the same year, Artisan Stone opened the doors of its first flagship showroom in Fyshwick ACT.
In 2019, over a decade after founding Artisan Stone, Chris decided it was time to pursue other interests in the building industry and bid farewell to Artisan Stone after a long and successful career within the company.
After many years of experience, Craig's interest in the outdoor industry was immense.
With extensive knowledge in import, warehousing and supply under its belt, and a hunger for innovation inspired by the lifestyle of the Australian outdoors, it was time for Craig and Artisan Stone to take their next step.
Although the team loved the Pyrmont location, it was too small and hard to reach for their growing clientele. Craig began work on finding, designing and project managing the next flagship showroom keeping first and foremost his drive to provide the best service in the industry.
In May 2020, not without struggle and with a certain pandemic in the way, the second flagship showroom was opened in Artarmon NSW and the outdoor furniture collection was welcomed to the Artisan range. During that time, Craig and the team continued to work on developing a brand that underpinned the values and vision that were driving the company and the individuals that made it.
